Ok so my eyelashes are kind of short and do NOT curl. I have to put on like 4 pairs of mascara just to make it look like they aren't brown. And when I curl the they end up sticking straight out in like 5 mins. I really want to find a good mascara and a good method that helps with this problem. Suggestions?

For me personally, I have very short eyelashes. What I use is the Lancôme eyelash primer and I feel like it just thickens and gives my lashes that pump of volume I need :)

I don't have the shortest lashes, but they're not that impressive. I also use a lash primer, either the Lancome version that Marina mentioned, the Lashfood primer, the L'oreal Voluminous primer or the Dior DiorShow primer. They all work really well to keep your lashes just how you want them. I also think it's important to use a good mascara on top of the primer, so for that I'd recommend the L'oreal Voluminous Million Lashes. It has a silicone, comb-like wand that will really help your lashes hold a curl.

The other thing you should try has nothing to do with mascara; I recommend a lash curler, possibly a heated one. If you don't feel like buying a heated curler, just hit your normal curler with a hair dryer for a few seconds

I have really short straight lashes that I have fought with for a very long time. I find that if I use the Lancôme lash primer and let that dry fully, then carefully curl them and apply mascara and that seems to make the curl last a long time. also, my favorite mascara is the covergirl super sizer mascara because it is one of the only ones that makes them full and curled!

You've gotten a lot of good tips here. Here is one more. Make sure you use a WATERPROOF mascara to ensure that your curled lashes STAY curled.

Totally agree with Hannah. I loveee L'Oreal mascaras; the Butterfly Waterproof is what I have been using for about 2 years now but I used the Voluminous before. Have you tried heating your lash curler? It make a huge difference. Also I have smaller eyes and have only found one eyelash curler that will actually curl my lashes; its the Trim brand and I usually get it from CVS or Walmart (it has a white and teal rubber handle). I definitely recommend trying a primer to help hold your curl but definitely trying heating you curler (I use a hair dryer, and make sure to test it out first before so you don't burn your eye!)

I have almost the same situation and the Covergirl Super Sizer it's my favorite mascara :) it lengthens and curls the lashes (no lash curler.needed), keeps them like that all day. I mean, ALL DAY. It doesn't smudge nor flake :)

You can try the barbie mascara by maybelline. It's quite nice.

My eyelashes were never very good either, and I would always curl them all the time up until I started using the Neutrogena healthy lengths mascara. The mascara has vitamin e oil and olive oil and I think those oils in the formula really helped my eyelashes or something. Now my eyelashes are long and they have a natural curl to them. The formula is thick and creamy and is very pigmented. So I don't know, but you could give this mascara a shot?
