Is Maroon Hair Possible?

So my hair has been through a pretty traumatic month. Two stylists have ruined it. It's supposed to be ombred but it's just fried, broken, dry, brittle, oddly colored and shorter than before. I just want a basic color I can live with while my hair heals and grows back. What would be the process of dying it maroon and the upkeep. If you don't think maroon is for me, what color do you suggest?

I think you should let your hair grow out and back to healthy again before you dye it

You could definitely try a maroon color. My only thing is, red is one of the shortest lasting hair colors therefore you may have to die it often so it doesn't turn to a mousey orange/brown. Red is also the most difficult color to get out of hair. It would either take you months and months to get rid of, or a lot of bleach. For this reason, I suggest a light brown until your hair recovers!

Definitely a brown color would be your best bet red will just further damage with the upkeep of the color I would do a med brown.

From the looks of it you could just use a demi or vegetable dye like manic panic. it will fade but it would be the healthiest and easiest option as manic panic doesn't have any harsh ingredients. what color are your roots? it's hard to tell in this picture.

It's definitely doable but your hair needs to be repigmented in order to keep the color from fading quickly and muddy. So before you add the actual color, you need to add the pigments that are missing from your hair from bleaching it to a lighter level.
