Okay so lately my hair feels greasy. So right now your thinking, well then just wash it. Well I do wash it and I wash all of the protect out, But after I'm done washing it, it still feels like greasy and protecty afterward. Like I wash it out and nothing comes out. Like you can feel it when you get out of the shower. It's just really weird, I would be grateful if anyone knows what I'm talking about.

It's probably the type of shampoo or conditioner you're using. what products are you using in the shower?

Omg!! I know exactly what you mean, except when I get out of the shower my hair doesn't feel greasy, just within like a day or 2 I notice like oil in my hair, which is weird cuz this never has happened, and it's not pms or anything. I do have a suggestion for you though. How often do you shampoo? You may shampoo too often even though it might seem like it. Shampooing often is really bad for you hair and perhaps that's contributing to this. Just a guess. I hope this helps!

Do an apple cider vinegar rinse once a week. Just take an amount the same amount you use for shampoo and rub it in your scalp and rinse it out. Works for me and I have the same problem!

Sounds like product build up to me, and if you wash your hair too regularly it will get much more oily than someone who washes their hair once a week because it's trying to replenish the oils that're being stripped when you're washing it too frequently.

I recommend using a cleansing shampoo and conditioner or perhaps your hair type doesn't need those sort of moisturising products you're using so often and could just be weighing it down.

I agree it sounds like product build up. I know every one says not to wash your hair every day, but I wash mine every day and my hair is fine. It's your own personal preference. A quick way to get that residue out of your hair is to wash it with Dawn dish soap (make sure it's not the one with bleach). Dish soap is harsh on hair and should not be used regularly, but it is the quickest way to get that residue out in one wash. Just make sure to use a good amount of conditioner after because your hair will be very dry afterwards. It seriously takes the sticky/greasey feeling out in one wash. My friend had this issue once and clarifying shampoo took a month to get out what one use of dish soap did. Like I mentioned, definitely don't use it regularly but a one time use any time you get that product build up residue will be ok.

I also agree that the products you are using are probably the source of the product build up. They may be too moisturizing. If you try the dish soap and the residue comes out but then comes back after a few normal washes, that will tell you that the products you are using are the culprit.

Try a different shampoo! The one you're using is probably too heavy since it's specifically for frizz, especially if you have light hair.

It all matters on how often you wash your hair. This happened to me, I used to wash it every day but it would just get greasy again. Washing my hair every other day worked and maybe not touching your hair throughout the day, I know it's hard but it works.

Hope I could help.

How often you wash your hair should have little effect on how oily it is unless your shampoo is actually drying and irritating your scalp. Your body does not know whether your hair is dry, because hair is dead and has no connection to your nervous/hormone system. However, a dry/irritated scalp will definitely produce more sebum, which is why a lot of people (who are arguably using shampoos that are not good for their scalps, regardless of how expensive they are) find they have better results shampooing less often. You never wondered why people will wash their faces twice a day but their hair once a week?

To me it sounds like you have product build up; there's no reason a good cleansing should leave your hair still greasy. I actually use Aveeno Fragrance Free Body wash as my shampoo every other day. Cleanses well, removes anything but the most intensely sticky hair products, and contains moisturizing agents to soothe the skin.
