You can get the matte nail look by using a matte topcoat or matte nail polish. A matte topcoat thats pretty easy to find is Essie Matte About You which is about $8 at walgreens or on amazon.com , another inexpensive option is the NYC Matte Topcoat which is $2 or $3 i think also found at drugstores or amazon.com ,. Matte Polishes can be found at drugstores (rarely) and on brand websites. Zoya has a few matte polishes and so does Orly but i reccomend just buying a matte topcoat so you can turn all or any of your polishes matte. Just paint your nails with desired color and apply a matte topcoat over top(:

according to pintrest you can add cornstarch to a normal clear coat to make it a matte top coat. I haven't tried it myself though

DONT BUY ANY MATTE NAIL POLISH!!!!! The onlt place I know you can buy it is at Sephora. It is $10 at Sephora for a little bottle. You can make a DIY one for under $2.00. Buy a really cheap clear top coat and mix corn starch in it. It will instantly turn yoyr polish into matte! I did this and it works just as good as the ones you can buy at Sephora, if not better. See? Mine is just clear coat and cornstarch. Hope tbis helped!
