Kind of a personal question about piercings! Nipples!

Does anyone have nipple piercings? :)

If you do, can you give me some background on how you cared for them, how they feel (as in did you lose feeling, or is it always sensitive etc), if you've had trouble with them at all? How long did it take for you to heal? Just a little information. Obviously I'll do my own research and discuss these things with the piercer, I just want answers from people who have them as well! Even though we're all different, it's nice to get personal experiences. Also how bad did it hurt?! I have a high pain tolerance but my breasts are quite sensitive like most other women. Lol

I haven't gotten one.. But I heard they can possibly interfere with your ability to breast feed later on.. I'd look into that.

I've had mine done for about 13 years I cared for them the same as any other piercing just keep it clean etc.etc..they are exactly the same as they were before, I didn't lose feeling and they aren't always sensitive just nornal. the only issue I had was one rejected after a couple months I let it heal and repierced it and it rejected again so I decided that one was a no go. as far as the healing time I can't remember for sure but I wanna say a couple weeks just like any other piercing. hope this helps

Thanks Brittany! That helps a lot. :)

Hannah, I've also heard that. I'm definitely going to look into it.

Following, if you don't mind! I'm looking into getting mine done too, but I want to hear from other people who have them done about their experiences too.

I've looked at getting mine done before and it's crossed my mind recently aswell, so here's what I've gathered- Some people will either feel super sensitive, some people claim they lose feeling in them but I highly doubt it unless they'd had them for a good 8+ years, I say that cause my belly piercing is damn healed and when I do push on it I can't feel much, or they won't notice a difference at all. As far as healing goes it's not going to be like a lip piercing, they're considered surface piercings so for some people their body is just going to say no regardless of how many times you pierce it and it will reject, if you're lucky it'll heal and won't have any signs of rejection (like my neck piercing) I would say it'd take about 8/12 weeks before they'd start to settle down and feel less tender. Apparently they're itchy af when they're healing so keep that in mind lol!

I've had mine done for a year now and the actual piercings were probably my most painful ones. They didn't hurt after or during healing tho. They were super sensitive for about a week after and then went back to normal. I too am noticing that one of mine is either rejecting or the piercer didn't get close enough to the base. I would get it redone tho so the pain is definitely tolerable. Mine still do crust even with regular cleaning (sorry tmi). I say do it!

Also sometimes they get little bumps, kinda like a pimple but I read that it's normal. I just dry it out with tea tree oil and it goes away.
