How do you set your face?
When I apply cream contour should I set it with translucent powder before apply a powder contour/bronzer over it or should I place the bronzer directly over the cream contour?
I've always heard how if you don't set a cream and apply powder over it directly it will get very muddy very quickly however I feel like with cream contour, setting powder, powder contour, and bronzer it just seems like too much.

When I use my NYX Wonder Stick (I just use the contour side) I apply it, blend it out, then apply my setting powder, then bronzer. I don't really go over the Wonder Stick with a contouring powder because I don't really feel the need to.

That's what I use! I really like it but I also don't find a need for the highlighting side.

I don't use the highlighting side either, it's mega bright on me and just doesn't look right, but it doesn't really bother me that I only use the contour side.

Personally, I do one or the other.
Cream contour is more for dry skin. Dry skin tends to soak up the extra moisture so it doesn't really need to be set.
If you're using a cream then a powder over you'd have two issues, 1. the powder will kind of drag/not blend as good.
2. The moisture from the cream can darken the powder.
If you're going to use both a cream and powder then you may find it more helpful to do a light dusting of translucent powder over the cream before adding powder with color like a contour shade and such.
But, if you've got dry skin and you're just using the powder to add more depth then you can get some of the contour color on a brush, spray it with fix plus, tap the brush on the back of your hand to get a feel for the color/get some excess product off and it should blend more easily with the cream under it
