Ok so as a child I had super curly hair. Over the years it started to drop and stayed wavy. I started to dye my hair and my hair is now damaged and straight. Any products that you think can help me get my waves/curls back?

I had the same issue. I felt that the Aphogee 2 step protein treatment was very helpful to restore my curls. Also, using a deep repair masks was helpful... I used the one by macadamia.

The key to curls is moisture! Vickie Is right on deep repair masks but I have no clue about those protein treatments so do your own research and see if thats something you'd be interested in. moisturize the heck out of your hair and once you think you've done enough, do a little bit more. Mayo masks, rinsing out your conditioner with cold water and using a diffuser on your hair dryer are all things that will help tremendously

Use sulfate free shampoo. If you can get a cleansing conditioner I use Biolage cleansing conditioner. Ogx, l'oreal, and Shea moisture have great leave in conditioners, and treatments for curly hair. Protein treatments are for severe damage hair. Get trims regularly. Visit naturallycurly.com they have lots and lots of info.

The same thing happened to me. It took me so long to get waves back. It was because I was using a normal regimen on my hair but now I do an olive oil and egg mask. It works wonders.
