When I was younger I use to use this everyday. It was quick and easy to put on my face and I loved it. Now that I'm older and my face is different then it was, use it any longer. I am allergic to a product that cover girl put in their makeup. It also doesn't contain my oily skin. Does anyone know of any good creme to powder foundations that are good for oily-acne prone skin?

I don't know how well it would work on super oily skin, however when I was in high school I did lean more to the oily side and I would use the cover girl aqua smooth foundation in the blue compact.. Not sure if that would have the same ingredient that you're allergic to but that's the only cream to powder foundation I ever had any good luck with :) sorry if that isn't helpful sucks that you're allergic to something in their makeup. :(

Not sure if you were looking for a budget friendly option or were open but the only one I can think of which is high end is the Hourglass Immaculate foundation. The line is Paraben free, gluten free, and vegan but it would be best to check the ingredients to make sure it doesn't contain what you're allergic to. Liquid to powder finish, it's designed for oily skin to help contain oil, reduce oil production over time, and help reduce signs of acne scars. Out of all the claims I know for sure that it definitely helps contain oil for the most oily prone skin types.

Iman makes this really good cream-to-powder stick foundation.
Idk what your skintone is in the MAC range but her range is around NC35 or darker in general.
Certain formulas may have a shade or two that are lighter.
I think that stick foundation has a shade around NC30 so if you're in that range is suggest it.


I've tried the L'orèal true match compact makeup(cream-to-powder) because I've heard it was a dupe for the MAC Studio Tech but it's not. Doesn't really go to a powder IMO

The Milani one was the same, didn't really dry down. Had more of a satin finish rather than matte.

Basically, I think for oily skin. You're going to have to set with powder on most occasions.

The MAC Studio Tech doesn't really need powder IMO it dries down to a fairly matte/slight semi matte.
I prefer that one since it has more shades too.
The only downside is that it doesn't layer all that well although I've only tried layering it with one technique so I'll have to use it more

Oh, and it should be noted that most cream-to-powder foundations are for those with normal to slightly oily skin.

If you want something to help control your oils better than I'd check out a liquid of powder foundation that holds up better on oily skin

But here's the L'orèal one vs the MAC one.
I let them sit for a couple of minutes and the L'orèal one is just more of a cream foundation rather than cream-to-powder

If you wait it out, aside from the new Hourglass Vanishing stick, ABH should be coming out with a cream foundation stick that is meant for oily skin. My current go to for your requested formula is the Revlon ColourStay 2-in-1 Compact. My skin type is Super oily acne prone in a humid country.
