What foundation do you recommend?

I have oilyish skin and have been struggling to find a good foundation that just makes my skin look flawless. Born this way makes me look cakey and grey nars glow makes me way too oily chanel lumiere is patchy after a while even with the powder. Chanel Matt velvet is too matte for my taste. I want something light that makes my skin tone even that's it!

Maybe try Marc Jacobs Remarcable Foundation. It's very lightweight but gives full coverage. It has a semi matte finish & in my opinion, suits slightly oily, normal & combo skintypes. You need so little product to cover your face due to its inky like texture that's spreads like crazy. I feel a thin layer of this full coverage foundation will cover minor to moderate, maybe a little more than moderate depending on the type of imperfections you have. I would get a sample. It really is a unique foundation as far as formula. Because most thin foundations give sheer to medium coverage. It may seem thick when you first experience it on your hand, but when you apply it to your face, I prefer a small flat concealer brush to swipe on sheer, thin, cross hatching stripes rather than a blob in each area like most people apply it. I get a more even thin layer since there is no blob settling into one area. I apply to one area first, then blend it in before applying on the next area. I don't like a foundation to sit on my face for a bit before I have a Chance to blend it in. It also helps, if you find that you've applied too much to one side of your face, you can just start blending the excess to the other parts of your face without fear that you've already applied foundation there that's been waiting to get blended. I've seen so many girls dot foundation all over their face & then when they realize they've applied too much, it's more difficult to sheer out and you end up wasting foundation.

Make sure you get the right undertone so you don't turn out greyish. Also, avoid foundations that "changes" to your skin color or have 3-5 shades. They are more likely to have a greyish cast.

If your skin is only slightly oily then the L'orèal True Match should be good.
It's a semi-matte foundation with medium coverage, very liquidy, has lots of shades and doesn't look heavy.

A foundation that causes you to be grey can be either the foundation is too light or the wrong undertone.
The L'orèal true match offers three undertones.

Another good option is the MUFE Ultra HD foundation.
The newer formula is a little more matte compared to the satin formula the old one had and would work good for those who are a little oily as well. Although, if you get a lot of oil then I wouldn't recommend it. It would slide off my face pretty easily like the old formula.
They also offer a lot of shades
