I want to do something for my hair for the second day of school because the first day of school (today) I just had it in a bun. I have extremely thick hair and I get it thinned every 2 months, it's been 4 months. How can I curl my hair fast and have energy to do it!

I would just braid it for some tighter waves.

Ya you could take a shower and then while it's still wet put it in some twists and then sleep on it and take it out in the morning

I have very thick dense hair and it takes 12+ hours to dry as well, I do heatless braids and twists all the time though overnight still! I use a tshirt (or a microfiber cloth like the turby twist) to dry my hair, and then I lightly blow dry it on the cool setting or sit in front of a fan till it's 80-90% dry and then I do twists/braids and when I wake up it's dry. I'd try that, or just lightly spritz your hair with water or a heat protectant on dry hair before you twist or braid so it's slightly damp but won't take forever to dry.
Unfortunately there's no speedy way to curl thick hair without some sort of help or several other arms lol.

If you wanna do the braiding method you could always just spray some water (not a lot) on dry hair and then braid it tight. It'll try quicker since it wasn't completely wet when braided

I have had awesome results just doing bantu knots. If it takes really long to dry like mine, spraying it with water is an option but I get a bit frizzy. I was trying to blow dry one section of my hair and I gave up (lol), so I put it in a knot while it was dry and still warm...and it cooled down in that shape in a matter of minutes (about 5 min.)
I was impressed!
The results are in my profile picture

You could do either. But I only braid after I've brushed out my dry natural waves and it gets all poufy frizzy. In order to minimize the frizz and bring back some defined waves, I braid dry hair and sleep on it, Then when it's still in the braids, I will lightly coat the braids with with hair oil or a hair pomade, then I use a tiny spritz of a light hold hairspray. I actually like the way my hair looks after I wash it and let it dry naturally and won't brush the day after. But when it gets tangly, the 2nd day after I wash it, then I have to brush it, and then my hair turns to cotton candy and I turn to the braids to get it decent looking before my next wash. If you do it wet, it will take awhile to dry. But youll have more defined results. And depending on how many braids you do (I only do 2), your hair could turn out DONNA SUMMER curly or like mermaid hair or just medium loose waves like mine.

I have stiletto nails and I love them but hate them so much because I can't braid my hair! Like I can't take care of my hair. It's horrid and I always braid my hair.
