So I have combination skin. I am oily in my T-Zone and the rest of my skin is dry/normal. I use the CeraVe Moisturuzer. The primer I use right now is the Hangover RX Primer from Too Faced. And for foundation I use Maybelline Dream Mousse or MAC Face and Body. I set my nose with L'Or?al True Match powder. But after 3 hours it always looks cakey and just not good. I apply my foundation with a beauty blender by the way. Can someone suggest some products for me or give me some advice? It would be greatly appreciated! :)

Try only using the moisturizer on your normal/dry areas and a lighter moisturizer on your t zone.
Also note, the Hangover RX primer is silicone based and the MAC Face and body is water based, they're not compatible bases which can result in the face and body foundation not sitting properly cause it's essentially sitting on top of oil and water and oil for mix.
Also, beauty blenders are similar to stippling brushes minus the fact they sheer out the coverage.
The thing is, stippling on your foundation is essentially you patting/caking it on.
Try using a buffing brush to really buff in the foundation rather than stippling it on. This will give a lighter/less this layer that's more mended to your skin in a way

Oh, and the Loreal powder isn't that great for oily skin.
Try using the Paladio rice powder for your t-zone. That stuff will really set your makeup and you only need a little and it won't get cakey since the Loreal one has a decent amount of color in it which can result in a cakey appearance

Aurora, Hangover RX is silicone free. But I'm open to trying a new primer and foundation, do you have any suggestions? What buffing brush would you recommend? I have the real techniques expert face brush right now.

Oh and a cool trick is:
put on a foundation and then set it thoroughly with setting spray. wait 5 seconds and take a beauty blender and just push it into the foundation. Set with a light dusting of powder.
