Looks more on the red side of the spectrum apposed to auburn or copper, etc. Sort of looks like she might have had pink hair and dyed over it with chocolate brown and it faded lol.

Wow, don't know why my question wasn't showing up to me last night haha. Thought it got deleted. Thank you for your responses! I love the tone. I currently have a medium brown tone with some red in it but I wish I could add some more of it in without going even darker.

Are you comfortable with lightening your hair a few shades? if so, you may be able to lighten it and then add the red/brown you want to get the red to pop a bit more. You may even have some luck going a tad more red to start with because red tones tend to fade quickly.

It's hard to put brighter color into dark hair. the color in the box looks close to what I used to have when my hair stylist was using 3vr (violet-red level 3) on me, my natural hair is around a level 5 or 6. you shouldn't need to bleach it blonde if you do lighten it before recoloring, just a shade or two down. if you can use olaplex I would definitely suggest it to avoid damage. you could also try using a permanent dye from Sallys and choose your own developer (the higher the number the more it lifts) which should lift some of the color as it applies and put the red in. I would talk to the ladies at Sallys about which developer would actually work better for what you are doing, or even which red dye. the one around here always has super knowledgable people.

Thanks so much for all the info! One of the employees I talked to originally said she had no idea so... But I really love that color on the box so if I can make it work I want to try it. I know Sally's has this new violet red hair trend on their site but when I go to look for the box they used it seems more close to purple rather than the red. Going back to the store at a different location tomorrow to see if I can get some more gudiance with their products on what would be best to use. Thank you again!!

Thank you Hailey! I've already added some red in and it turned out darker than expected but I don't mind it. Reds tend to wash out of my hair so fast anyway so I won't fret too much. I'll keep it in mind for future refrence though!! :)
