When I do a little back combing I take the top layer of hair and put it up in a ponytail in top of my head, then I back comb the next layer of hair. When I then let down the top layer it lays smooth over the back comb bits. If that makes any sense :)

Yay I'm happy it worked out! and I totally understood what you meant :)
I rarely tease my hair, I feel like the amount of volume my hair has naturally is enough in my day to day life, but when I do it I actually just use my tangle teaser and tease it just a bit :)
