Anyone help me out on my ear piercings?😁

So I've had ear stretchers/plugs in for About a good year and a half and I went up to a 8mm /00 g but now I decided to take them out and let them shrink, I took them out around two and a half weeks ago, but just three days ago I have been getting like flakey dry skin around my ear and in the hole, and I don't know if it's infected or if it's just my ear growing back, also is it a good idea to put in some earings or just leave them shrink, I still want to wear normal earings so what do I do? Thank you!:)

But around my ear hole it is kind of stiff, but it doesn't hurt or itch? So I'm not sure if it's just my stretched hole shrinking

Clean it with saline solution once and after that just leave it :) my ears went back to pretty much normal earring size after about 3-4 months, be patient. :)

Okay thank you!:) so the skin and hardness isn't a problem and it's just the hole shrinking down? Do I wear earings whilst they're shrinking or not?

Yes, just keep them clean as Shaye said. They're getting crusty and red because they're irritated. They're open holes, being exposed. I was at 00g and they stretched back to normal at about half a year (6months), so everyone is different. Yours look like they're almost there so if give it a couple months. Normal earrings will not stay in there, lol. At least they didn't for me. You don't wanna wear like hoops or anything either, because the weight of them will pull them down defeating the purpose of letting them shrink. Heavier stud earrings also do that as well... I'd just wait.

Oh okay! Thank you! Yeah now my holes are at 3mm now, so they've shrunken quite quick, and I've worn normal earings and TBEY seem fine but I don't wear them much, I've been wearing really light hoops, made from like gold so they're very light weight, I won't wear them now since that's best but if I don't wear earings will they close up completely? Because I don't want them to close up completely unless that's the best thing to do and get them re pierced?

They won't close up completely :) if you've had you ears pierced for a long time, like me (since I was literally a baby lol), they wouldn't close up completely...ever since I had my gauges in (4 years ago), I haven't worn earrings at all.

Oh okay that's good to hear!:) I've had them pierced for quite along time since I was younger too! Okay I won't wear any earrings in now until they're fully back to normal earring size!:) thank you :)
