Going to MAC this weekend and haven't been in a long time. any suggestions on products to get? I'm definetly looking to get a foundation and I want the sculpting powder. also a concealer. I have dry skin but right now it's not too bad because it's summer.

I like the studio fx foundation, I'd you like a satin finish, not to matte but not too dewy then it's amazing! The only thing I'd say is that it did make me breakout. Is also recommend the prep and prime fix + sparky, it makes your skin look so healthy and dewy and keeps makeup on for so long.

Hello, I'm also dry skin and for Mac foundation I have 2 favorites. Mac Face and body and Mac Mineralize, these 2 foundations are lightweight and moisturizing. Both are light to medium build able coverage. It gives you a fresh dewy like skin look. Now for concealer I've used Mac Mineralize creamy concealer but you might find others that will work for you. I suggest to stay away from the Mac Pro long wear bc it's heavy and for dry skin it's not a friend. Also if you haven't tried already Mac fix plus spray is a wonder and a best friend to our skin using before applying foundation and after. Makes it last longer and its moisturizing. Have fun at Mac!

The pro longwear foundation is my favorite from mac but honestly mac foundations aren't really my cup of tea. They can be a bit heavy. I've heard the waterproof version is great though but I haven't tried it myself yet. The prolongwear concealer is hands down my favorite concealer ever made. For other products: paint pots, fluidline, moisture infusion primer, strobe cream, fix +, and the mineralize skinfinishes...

For drier skin the Face and Body or the Studio Sculpt foundation would be good.
I believe the liquid mineral one would be good too although I haven't used that particular formula (I only used the Mineralize Satinfinish which was replaced by that newer one)

Face and body is more sheer to light/medium coverage whereas the studio sculpt is more medium coverage.
If you want full coverage than the Full Coverage cream foundation is also an option but I believe it's only available online and at MAC stores not counters.

A good concealer would be the Studio Finish concealer it's a cream one and pretty much just the smaller version of the Full Coverage cream just with SPF

Are you a pro artist? They have some amazing sculpting colors and certain products available to pro artists I would suggest, but face and body is great. Aurora definitely knows of which she speaks, to fill in I have used the mac mineralize liquid and for me, it left a lot to be desired. It just didnt even feel that good on my skin. I think I have about 6 shades in my client kit and I only used one bottle twice. Once on me and once on a client due to preference. But never again. I personally use studio sculpt, but I don't have dry skin...depending on how long one bottle lasts for you, really depends on what you should get because we're approaching fall soon and I don't know how your skin will change. TIP-face and body lasts forever haha so its a good investment and you can build on it. So, its always a safe choice. Please also consider your brushes when choosing your foundation, a good brush can make a big difference to your application. mac brushes are a good investment, if you take care of them...they will take care of you. Whenever I do a mac shopping trip, i like to add a brush or two to my belt.
