Hey everyone just wanted your thoughts on the Mary Lou manizer, would this suit very pale skin? And is it soft or an intense highlight? Thanks in advance.

In my opinion, it looks best on fair to light skintones. I think it's a medium to intense highlight but was a little powdery for my textured skin. I gave mine away because it was too light for me, as I have a golden medium, olive skintone.

I have very light but olive skin. I wasn't impressed with it as it was very faint. I don't like glittery highlighters, more of a good strobe/glow. This fell short of even that. I use it with my Watts Up highlight (it's a stick/balm) and it shows up a little better. It might wash you out if you're pale or not show up at all. A peach/pink tone one is what I always envy on pale skin. Looks so beautiful!

I love it. I use it almost every day for hilite and eyeshadow. I have fair to light skin with cool undertone and it suits me well.

I have very fair cool toned skin and it looks great on me. I don't use it in my cheekbones much anymore just because it is very glittery and I have skin texture issues.

It's not my favorite but I do like it a lot. I would say it's definitely better for fair skin. when I'm real tan it's borderline too light but it has a nice golden tone that keeps it from looking too too ashy. it can be soft and natural (not quite as natural of a sheen as the liquid beccas or as kevyn aucoins but still very subdued) or you can build it up pretty easily to be more noticable. it doesn't get as metallic as a becca highlighter or anything but you can make some drama happen. there are no chunks of glitter that pop out on the face and it doesn't look/feel like a cheap product (if that makes sense).
just to give you an idea of the color, this is next to most of my other gold highlighters. top to bottom is Nyx ritualistic, Mary lou, ofras you dew you, kevyns liquid in candlelight, colourpops wisp, and becca champagne pop and then moonstone in liquid
(my battery started calling it quits before I could get a GOOD picture but hopefully this still helps)

I actually sell the balm at work so I've had a lot of experience with the product and working it with various skin tones. I think that's it's very pretty but is really good for paler girls with pink under stones. I find it to be too stark on darker skin and it doesn't have the same lightening affect of used on skin with more yellow undertones. I also find the formula to be a bit chalky, and if I use it on myself it really clings to any dryness. Honestly, if you're looking for something in a similar price point And easily accessible I'd recommend the Light Source highlighters by LORAC. I own starlight and daylight are for lighter skin whole twilight and moonlight work better on deeper skin. Their very silky and have an excellent pan size. I'd go see if you could play with them somewhere to find which one you like best.

I find the brush you use can vastly change application quality for Mary Loumanizer. It's very pretty if you can get the application down, but I ultimately don't find myself reaching for it anymore as I find the formula to be outdated. My Anastasia Illuminators are easier to work with. You can get two of the shades on their website, but there are reputable sellers on Ebay that you can buy the others from as well. I got the Starlight shade from an Ebay seller and it's perfect for very light to super fair skin tones.
