Can someone please tell me what is the difference between hyaluronic acid and retinoid? I basically want to use it to treat my dark Hyperpigmentation and acne.

Thank you!

HA is a natural component found in skin. You can apply it topically to add moisture and or help hour skin retain moisture. Retinols increase the turnover of skin cells. It helps build collagen, reduce lines, wrinkles, rough texture, discoloration and to clear up acne.

Thank you for the info! Would you recommend me using hyaluronic or retinoid to treat Hyperpigmentation?

Retinoids are better for than. Plus, a vitamin c serum will also help. And of course spf of at least 30, everyday, even if it's not sunny or you're just running errands. HA is great, but it will do nothing for hyperpigmentation.

Retinoids are one of the best categories of ingredients to treat a wide range of skin issues and unless you're hypersensitive to them are always a good thing to fit into your routine regardless of your skin concerns,.

Is Hyaluronic acid good for dry/oily combo skin?

HA is good for all skintypes as it is a natural component already in your skin. It helps your skin retain moisture this helping it stay plump. But some HAs are mixed with other ingredients, so be wary of the other ingredients that your skin may not agree with.
