Hey girls, I just bought the l'oreal waterproof 24h mascara and omg I tried my make up remover using cotton pads water and all and it won't go away. Its driving me crazy? Any other option? Can I apply olive oil in a cotton pad? Thanks in advance.

Oil will be your best bet! So olive or coconut! Just make sure to wash really well after.

I use either micellar water formulated for waterproof makeup (the one I use is by Garnier) or if that doesn't suffice, then I turn to coconut oil to take it off. But I find that micellar water will remove pretty much any cosmetic product there is. I apply it on a cotton round, let it sit on my eye for a few seconds, and then wipe my makeup away. Works like a charm :)

Update: I tried the cotton pad with oil letting it sit and I cringed lol, so I took a clean mascara brush dipped it in olive oil and I tried to brush my eyelashes and let em like that for a minute then wash with water. But as a lesson I'm never buying a waterproof mascara again lol. Thanks girls xoxo.

Try oil based makeup removers.

I've used Almay Makeup remover pads for years. I use the one for waterproof & long wear eye makeup. It is slightly oily, but in my opinion, that's what makes it effective, it keeps my lids from getting irritated & dried out and keeps my lashes moisterized and prevents my lashes from being tugged at. I use a facial cleanser afterwards to wash my face and remove the residual oil from my eyes. Since I use them at night only, when I wash my face it the morning, it assures me that that 2nd cleansing in the morning will remove any minute oil residue leftover from the night before. I don't mind if there was a little oil on my lashes overnight, as I feel it conditions them overnight.
