How to fade my hair so I can dye it again?

Hey ladies, so my hair is currently black and my natural hair color is a light to medium brown. I want to let my roots grow out enough to be matched so I can dye it back to my natural color but I was wondering if there is ways to fade my black hair so the hair stylist doesn't have to use so much chemicals on my hair?? any suggestions for products and prices if possible??
also I am thinking about going back to my brown color and getting a bayalage or an ombre and I'm thinking of either auburn or ash blonde or maybe even caramel...thoughts?? any other color suggestions?? thanks so much!!?

If your hair has been dyed black, especially by an at home box dye there's no way to avoid it. My hair stylist just dyed my roots brown and let my hair grow out from there and it did this kind of cool brown to black ombre thing!

I was able to find a photo! This was what it pretty much looked like. It was kind of edgy and fun :) (Process of me growing out the black)
