Hi,
I don't have extremely drying lips but I can't seem to be able to make Colourpop Mattes look good on my lips. They crack up like hell and I can never apply evenly. I do exfoliate and moisturise my lips and what not but I just can't seem to apply evenly. Any tips would be appreciated.

For me they're actually really comfortable but for the evenness try putting them on fast because they do dry really quick and don't reapply nicely if you want to fix something good luck

I always apply tons of Chapstick before I start doing my makeup, and by the end of my routine when I go in to apply the lipstick - it's super moisturized and smooth and it helps a lot

I don't know if the mattes would behave the same way as the satins - but I find that I can apply my ultra satin lipsticks over Chapstick without any problems

Since we're on this topic, any chapstick recommendation? I feel like they just sit on top of my lips and not getting really absorbed.

I have a Mary Kay chap stick with spf that I love so days I wear lipstick...it absorbs, doesn't run off and doesn't feel greasy or anything.

I have a love for the cargo lip primer. Put it on, add some balm, and then try your matte shades. I find that routine works wonders for me and I have very sensitive lips that tend to crack and split easily.
