I just recently got my hair cut, and I want to make an effort to keep it feeling healthy and beautiful like how it feels coming out of the salon. What are some high end or low end products to help keep it healthy? I plan on going to Ulta later for their hair event sale going on. Mostly looking for leave-in conditioner and maybe a new shampoo and conditioner. Thanks ladies!

I would definitely recommend using argan oil for your hair, especially the ends to keep them hydrated and looking great. I use the Macadamia deep hair repair mask twice a week. Leave it in your hair for 60 minutes after a shower w/ a haircap then rinse out. Since using it my hair's been silkier and softer.

What kind of problems do you usually see with your hair? Are your ends dry or is your scalp oily? That will help us give better suggestions if we know more about your hair.

Typically my hair feels dry and stiff. I'm not sure if it's my hair type or not. It takes a while for my hair to become greasy. My main complaint is dryness I suppose.

I agree with using good moisturizing oils - another good one aside from what hailey mentioned is jojoba oil - for a shampoo and conditioner I suggest trying something that specifically targets dry hair - I like the moisture line by Paul Mitchell - but it can be pricey so you have to be willing to splurge for your hair - another good product is the super skinny serum by Paul Mitchell - it's great to use after you apply heat to your hair to get moisture back into it - I also like the OGX argan and Shea oil serum - it's been nice to make my hair look silky soft and smooth - but dry and stiff hair could also suggest damage from too much protein and your best bet may be to see a professional for advice about treating that if these methods we suggested don't end up working for you - in any case I hope you find something that works!

Also if you apply any heat to your hair make sure you use a heat protectant spray first to prevent further damage and be sure to get hair cuts regularly (once a month get a 2 inch trim until you notice your hair is more healthy) because if your have split ends they can make your hair look more dry and damaged and the only way to get rid of them is with a cut.

Use sulphate free shampoos and conditioners. Loreal Ever Sleek is awesome (anything from their Ever range is good). if your budget allows, buy Macadamia Oil Deep Repair Masque. its amazing!! don't use too much heat and if you do remember to apply a heat protectant. I love John Freida Frizz Ease Thermal Protection one. use DIY masks like honey and yoghurt OR olive oil, castor oil, coconut oil and aloe vera mix.
