How do you guys get the perfect selfies, is it lighting, it is a special filter, it is the camera, etc., what's you guys techniques?

Definitely lighting and angle. I personally never look decent in pics with light coming from other angles than infront of my face. So I go infront of a window or into a bright room.
Also, I usually would position the camera higher than straight infront of my face and then angle it slightly down.

I think natural lighting is the best! I also like to use the Microsoft selfie app to enhance it a bit.

I always have the camera high so it looks down on my face, making it look a little skinnier! I also have to look it straight on. I can't do a side profiles. (: play around with it. Different angles, light.

I agree with the girls above. Natural lighting, finding the best angle for your face and enhancing with contrast, saturation and filters. Changing filters can really direct the mood of the picture to the desired direction. I enjoy using the app called Pixlr for touching up pictures.

Definitely lighting. What I like to do is hold my phone against the window at almost full arms length so it's steady and move myself around rather than my phone so that it's always in focus. I hold it a bit higher or straight on depending on how much I want in the photo.
I edit using after light. I usually just bump up the brightness and contrast and play with the temperature. Sometimes if I want a brighter look I'll brighten the highlights and shadows

I always take them outside or in front of windows. Personally, I tilt my head to show my cheekbones or jawline. I edit using VSCO and its amazing.
