Generally a pencil is easier to work with for a natural brow. And although you may be able to get a darker brow from the pencil (maybe) I don't think you're going to be able to achieve a DEFINED brow like that pic with a pencil only.

What shade are you using?

Well, granite is definitely darker. I like a strong, somewhat of a defined brow, but I don't like them to be too "clean" if you know what I mean, completely filled in and harsh sharp lines. I like natural looking brows, not taped-on brows. It's just not me. I think the dipbrow will be better for you, because of its customability. You can get a natural, slightly defined or boldly defined look with it. The pencil is a little more limited in the looks it can give you. Don't get me wrong, I like them both, pencil and dipbrow. And I usually use two different products to do my brows. I have it all, pomade, powder, pencils and gels. But I don't use all of them at once. It depends on the situation.
