So I have a patch of dry skin on my face and I have an event to go to tomorrow and will be wearing makeup for about 9 hours. So I don't want it to dry up my makeup in that one spot and look really bad. I have oily skin so that makes it harder to control just that one spot of dry skin. Any suggestions?

As long as you are gentle, exfoliating and moisturizing are key to getting rid of dry patches. I personally find using a cloth to rinse my face and gently moving in circular scrubbing motions gets rid of dry patches but if they are stubborn I'd recommend a gentle exfoliating scrub. Don't scrub too hard or you can damage the skin. Make sure you moisturize afterwards with something for dry skin
