Hi! First off sorry if I put this in the wrong category, wasn't sure which one suited. My question or problem is that my eyelids seem to be really dark (as in a muddy brown colour) and they get really oily during the day. Does anyone know what I should do to minimise the Oily/dark eyelids without spending a fortune? I was going to add a pic but it wouldn't come out on camera. Thanks!

Hi @patty! Thanks for replying but we don't have elf in Ireland and I was looking for something that would help it even if I wasn't wearing makeup✨

It's probably hereditary and not that much you can do other than using an eye cream for undereye darkness. But usually there is just so much a cream can do. What recommend is a shadow primer like Urban Decay EDEN, which will cover most or all the discoloration and matte out the lid. Then I would set it set a flesh toned shadow, even if you don't wear regular eyeshadow.

I've got super oily skin, eyelids included. Also starting to see that the veins on my eyelids are becoming more noticeable. The only eye primer I will use is the one by Laura Mercier, which I purchase at Sephora. It's kind of pricy but a tube lasts me a really long time. I love it because the oils on my eyelids don't affect the product at all, and it hides all the veins and splotchy places, kind of like a foundation for your eyes. If you do check out this brand, I'd advise that you ask a sales rep to help you choose a shade. There are four or five in all and they look very similar and once I bought the wrong one and could really see a difference, it was way too pink on my skin. Good luck :)

Thank you Victoria! I'm not sure where I will find Laura mercier in Ireland but if I find one I'll definitely check it out!❤️

There's also benefit stay don't stray. That's also a tinted primer. Or the mac paint pots work quite well too!
