Fake nails and growing out my actual nails!

What do you girls think of these fake nails? It was my first time and I am trying to grow my nails out under them (which is why the skin is a bit yuck) so Iwould love some opinions and tips.. Thanks!

Sometimes with nails like those they tend to sometime break off. I use acrylic nails, so that my natural nails can grow and they work very well. As long as they aren't so long

Fake nails are not really a good idea for growing your natural nails. They make the nails thin and prone to breaking and once you take them off they're worse than what you probably started with. Acrylics are also the worst thing you could do to your nails.

Ellen I love the nails! For me after years of acrylics and glue on nails, my nail beds were so thin.Even though my nails would grow out with fake nails, that was the only time they would grow. 2 years ago I finally stopped getting my nails done and they wouldn't grow and chipped/lifted on all my nails. Anyway I finally found Perfect Formula, they market to helping heal nails after fake nails. I love the Repair Coat or Gel Coat they sell. Really helps my nails thicken up stop peeling and grow. I miss getting my nails done! But my pocket book thanks me and so does my nails.

Thanks girls, I actually took them off after taking this picture because I was worried about my nails thinning/ breaking!
