I have four or five layers in my hair, the shortest being about four to five inches long. I love the way it looks straightened, but doing that ever day gets boring (not to mention damaging). I don't really like to wear it up. Braids are impossible because pieces stick out where the each layer ends. I love curls but not SUPER curly ones. It's difficult to curl though because a.) my hair doesn't take to curling very well at all and b.) I don't know how to make it not look bad at the top because of the shortness of the layer. How can I get pretty waves that look over or what other hairstyles should I try? Thanks in advance for any input!

when I had lots of layers I usually took a large curing iron and wrapped my hair around and let it wave instead of curl :)
