I would try born this way by TooFaced or true match by L'Oreal, they both have a nice range of  colors.

I work with a lot of people who are medium and darker.
When it comes to hyperpigmentation you really need an orange type of product to color-correct I wouldn't just get a full coverage product to try and just cover that all up cause you'll end up with a gray cast in areas that have hyperpigmentation/discoloration or if you really try only using a full coverage product to cover it you end up having to pile it on and it can look cakey/heavy very easily.

I find that there's a lot of variation in darker shades some have more brown with slight golden tones, some are very golden, I've seen some with bluish purple tones, some are golden with olive (green) tones which I see a lot in south Asian women so mixing shades is quite common since a lot of brands, as they get deeper in shade tend to make the undertone too orange or too red a lot of times

I know in India the MAC full coverage cream (MAC in general is quite popular amongst Bollywood actresses), CoverFX total cover cream as well as I think the kryolan dermacolor is quite popular.

I believe the CoverFX is more easily available since you can get it at Sephora, the full coverage from MAC is at pro stores, the Kryolan has more stores overseas.

The CoverFX also added more shades to their total cover cream and even added golden olive shades. G+40, G+50, G+60 which is great I've been waiting to get my hands on one of those since I'm sure they'd match me better.

Their "G" range is for yellow toned skin but I know a lot of people fit within their "N" range.

As far as color-corrector, a good inexpensive one is the NYX jar one in Orange.

I'm Indian ☺️ with a warm, yellow skin undertone, previously used MAC Studio Fix NC43.5.

Try the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer, excellent full coverage - I use SX11. It's texture is like a thick creamy concealer. It's a tad on the yellow side for my skin. A very pigmented product, only a little smidgen is needed. You can adapt the coverage very easily by diluting with primer/illuminator/cream then go over/conceal problem areas again with the "neat/undiluted" product. Recommend using a beauty blender or decent soft foundation brush to buff the product into the skin.

I'm now trying Natasha Denona's Glow Foundation #75. It's the perfect shade match for my skin, less yellow than the SSE SX11. It is however less coverage than the SSE but it really looks more natural and yes there is that glow but I like it. I set with powder which lessens the glow factor. Thus far, the ND Glow has not oxidized on my skin. Maybe it's because the ND Glow#75 is less yellow than the SSE SX11 so when it's combined with my colour correctors, it's less orange and more my natural skin shade.

I have also ordered the Natasha Denona Phenomattic foundation in #7, which is what was recommended as my shade match, has more coverage than the Glow foundation and is matte.

I'm experimenting with new colour correctors and concealers for my skin tone - Becca Backlight Correctors in peach and papaya. Plus getting the Charlotte Tilbury Retoucher in #6 + #7 plus the IT Cosmetics concealer in tan + the corrector in medium. Will see how these products fare with my ND foundation and compare with the MAC cream correctors (I use burnt coral and orange plus have the prep+prime highlighter in peach lustre).

The MAC Studio Fix concealers in NW range are good shades for Indian skin tones, anything from NW30 to NW45. Be aware when the NW shades are used over colour corrected areas, it can look too orange + warm. When used without a corrector may not be warm enough to neutralize the hyperpigmentation and prevent ashiness.

Does your friend have very oily skin? Use a good oil control primer as well, otherwise all that carefully placed correction and concealing may shift and slide.

Good luck with the bridal makeup! I'd suggest do a trial run to test for oxidization of whatever products you use on your friend.

I recently did a family wedding = bridal make up, dressing the ladies, for my cousin (bride), 2 nieces and bride's mum... it was a typical hectic Indian wedding experience! But they all looked stunning in the end ☺️ they were very happy 💃🏽 It took me 3 trials to figure out my cousin's skin and final look (she's fairer than me but more hyperpigmentation with lots of pitted acne scarring). The young nieces' skins were easy to work with. My aunt was a last minute "by the way, can you do my make-up?" 😄
