I recently bought L'Or?al hicolor dye the store was out of 30 developer. So the clerk assured me that the 20 will work just as well. The reason I'm asking is because I been trying to dye my hair with the box dye, but my hair wasn't taking it so I now I'm going to try this product.

It's brighter in natural lighting but I think that's about the color you're going for anyway.I left it on for 16 minutes to get the soft brown color.

If your hair doesn't have hair color in it already then a 20 developer would work but even then I believe that particular hair color has lightening ingredients which is why it's a "high lift" type of hair dye so it should get the job done even with a 20 developer but for best results I believe that particular one suggests a 40 developer of you're trying to go a bit lighter although I think that's more for trying to use their blonde colors.
