I have this red, painful bump on my face that really hurts.. it is hard and kinda feels like a bb in my skin... was told it looks like a cyst.

Is there a head on it? It does look like a cyst from what I can see. I'd go to the doctor!

Looks like cystic acne. Esp. if it's painful.

If you can get to a dermatologist or an esthetician, I highly recommend you do so. beyond that, try a hydrocolloid bandaid, which will bring it to a head and then heal it if it is, indeed, a blemish: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrocolloid_dressing.
