I am currently working to get rid of my acne and my derm recommended a face wash and she prescribed a medicine. I have naturally oily skin, but these products dry up my skin so fast. I was using an oil based moisturizer because that helped with the dryness but I found out that I am supposed to be using an oil free moisturizer because it won't clog my pores so now I have super dry skin. I have acne still so I wanna use foundation to cover it up for school but that won't help it! PLEASE HELP THANKS.

There are certain oils that don't clog pores like jojoba oil - I use it to moisturize my face at night and my face loves me for it - I have psoriasis and when I have a bad hormonal acne breakout I find my acne products dry out my skin too and give me psoriasis breakouts so I try to only use them every other day n the days I don't use them I use gentle natural products like jojoba oil - but I would double check with the derm before mixing prescription products with any other products just to be sure they don't reduce the effectiveness of each other.

I use rose hip oil, or sweet almond oil under my oil free moisturizer. The rose hip oil is antimicrobial, and contains fatty acids that diminish acne scars. Also vitamin A, which is anti aging.

Hannah, you need to first find out, which are those products which are contributing to harm your skin. Everyone has a skin type. If you have acne, try going for that product which will help you reduce acne and also moisturise your skin so that your skin doesn't get dry and itchy. I have come across such product called as Zeroblem, it will get you to have a clear complexion and also eases redness and uncomfortable inflammation, giving you a clear and blemish-free skin.
