I have dry, sensitive skin and Clarisonic is my go to! I've been using it now for almost four years and it completely changed my skin; I will ALWAYS have one.
Anyways comparing it to the Luna, which I have used, I didn't find it to be enough of a cleansing brush. Yes, maybe a little more gentle than the Clarisonic, but my face didn't even feel clean like it did with my Clarisonic.
The problem that most people have if they get irritation with using the Clarisonic is because they are either a) pressing too hard, b) not using the correct brush head for your skin type, c) not using it consistently, or d) all of the above.
Since you are dry and sensitive I would go with the Delicate brush head with the Mia. The Sensitive and Acne Prone are wayyy too much for me, at least.
Make sure you use it everyday (I only use mine once a day at night); if you don't use it everyday, then you aren't going to notice results. I never had the purging issue, but some do, so beware; but it doesn't typically last long for most who do have purging. And don't press hard! The Clarisonic is gentle and designed to be safe for your skin, but if you press hard you are going to cause irritation! Don't worry though, the brush will do all the work, so its not necessary to press down hard to begin with, but some feel the need to do so...
One more thing, I have owned both the Mia and Mia 2 and I honestly think they are same. The Mia 2 is about $50 more with the only difference being that it comes with a case (the Mia might, not sure though) and it has a different speed setting which I never use...
Hope this helped! If you have any other questions just feel free to ask me!

I have dry, sensitive and acne prone skin and I personally prefer my Foreo Luna Mini over the Clarisonic.
It's too easy to go too harsh on your skin with the Clarisonic.. not to mention the charging and the fact that I can't bring it into the shower and get it soaked with water.
I charge my Luna Mini about twice a year, use it in the shower twice a day every day and I'm set.
I find the Clarisonic too costly to begin with.. the brush heads need to be replaced about every 3 - 4.
This is due to the bacteria that can build up on the bristle, which may not be visible, but the base of the brush collects cleanser which can prevent the bristle from performing at it's best quality.
I have acne prone skin and I definitely don't need any more bacteria to spread.
How 'clean' your skin feels after using these devices has nothing to do with the tool but what products you are using on your skin. They are both sonic cleansing devices at the end of the day, they will get the job done regardless and it's a matter of which tool you personally prefer. As someone with dry skin, that 'squeaky clean' feel will usually lead me to dehydrated skin so I'm not a fan of that.
I have a double cleansing routine that involves removing make up and sun block by using a cleansing balm or cleansing oil and then following up with my cleanser of choice.
It's important to double cleanse to get the cleanest, most efficient use of your cleanser.
If you're going to be using a Clarisonic to cleanse, you especially need to remove any trace of make up/sunblock off before using this to your skin because it will accumulate in the brush head. You can't simply wash it off with soap and water like a Foreo Luna.
I've had my Luna Mini for three years and it works just as well as it did on the first day.
I personally chose the mini over the Full sized option because it has a deep cleansing side on the back of the device.
Another little plus for this gem is that you can use the Luna to help massage serums in your skin.
I've never had any irritation or purging from using my Luna but I am very careful with my skin care and what I put on my skin :)

Foreo Luna all the way! I have similar skin to yours but mine is more combo as I'm oily on my t zone. I just purchased the Luna mini about 6 weeks ago and am absolutely in love with it! It cleans my face so well and without causing any irritation. My skin is looking better and better each week. Lately my skin has cleared up a lot, I have had a few very small pimples, compared to before when my whole face was a constant breakout this is heaven. My skin tone and texture is also evening out quite a bit and my acne scars are becoming less and less visible. This is the one and only thing that has made a real difference in my skin, I can even confidently leave the house without foundation on for the first time in years!
