So I still have been struggling with my foundation and I've tried just about everything. At the end of the day my foundation looks as if it settled into my pores and looks super oily, then when I powder it, it makes all these weird dots in my face and when I run my finger over them they don't mesh into my skin. The foundation dots are stuck. So I recently just bought some skincare items in hopes that it will fix this issue and had some questions for you lovely ladies: I bought both the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel (contains hylorunic acid) and the Studio 35 Alpha Hydroxy Cream, can I use these in the same time frame (day routine/night routine)? Is the Neutrogena product a moisturizer? What order can I use these products in conjunction with my regular face routine? And thank you to whoever responds!

Hey Molly, what foundation are you using? Does it happen with just that particular foundation?
As for using both products, you'll be fine. The neutrogena product is a moisturizer which you can apply last in your routine.

Thank you! c: I've been using my usual three: Revlon Colorstay, Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour, and Loreal Pro Matte. I'll rotate and it's been happening to all three of them.

Are you using a primer? Also, I find that it's better if you blot your face with blotting papers before powdering. And are you using a brush or a puff when you're powdering your face?

I usually do use a pore filling primer or a redness reducing one, whichever I'm feeling that day. I have never thought of trying that, I definitely will tomorrow! :) I typically use my beauty blender for both my foundation, concealer, and powder (my powder is either Coty Airspun or Rimmel Stay Matte).
