So for the past year I've been think about getting this tattoo. I want the same placement/font/language but a different saying. Hers says "anyone can have the power to achieve their dream if they believe" (this is Jade Thirlwall if anyone is wondering) But I'm thinking of getting the quote "spirit lead me where my trust is without borders" from the song Oceans. So anyway, I'm really in love with the tattoo but I don't know what to expect. I just got OK with needles because I've had a huge fear of them since I was little. I know it's going to hurt, but I think I want it so much that I don't really care. So anyone with the experience of a tattoo, what is the healing process like? How long would it take to heal? What's the daily care after you get it? Has anyone with a low pain tolerance gotten a tattoo?
Thanks to anyone who replies!

It will hurt, there is no stopping that, but it won't hurt 90% of how badly you're probably anticipating it. Healing is different for everyone, I doubt you'd get this done in one sitting, but you need to keep it clean, just like any wound. Cleaning it gently, and letting it have as much air as possible. The best advice I can give is to look into artists locally and see who you like and want to work with, as well as feel comfortable with. They will give you after care instructions. Make sure you do your research on the artist and ask to see portfolios.

I have veeeery low pain tolerance and have a big-ish back piece. it will feel strange going over the spine but wasn't tooo terrible for me. given the placement, if you have long hair try to keep it off the tattoo as much as possible. healing time is usually 1-2 weeks. if you have dry ish skin/you're not prone to breakouts or blocked pores on your back, coconut oil is excellent for immediate aftercare and healing, otherwise grape seed oil is great and NO PICKING AT IT WHILE IT HEALS haha. if you love it, it'll be worth the pain :)

I have a huge phobia for needles, it's crazy I know considering that I do have tattoos and piercings but when it comes up to getting shots or blood drawn I am a big baby. Lmao. Anywho, tattoos hurt, but not as bad as you may think. During the healing process it will itch like crazy but do not scratch because it'll peel the ink and there won't be a point in getting it so you have to tolerate it for a while😁 and what you can use on your tattoo as soon as you get it is Aquaphor, I love this stuff, no neosporin or a&d ointment, I can't stress enough that those products aren't meant for tattoos it will cause fading. Good luck and I hope your first time experience goes well🙃

Depending on what your pain tolerance is it isn't that bad. It usually takes about a week to ten days to fully heal. Make sure you keep it moisturized. I use coconut oil to heal my tattoos. Which I know some people will probably say don't use. Aquaphor is also a great thing to use. And after about 3-4 days I use vitamin e lotion. Non scented to moisturize.
