How can I help my hair grow back?

I straightened my hair for about a year straight everyday without a heat protector or anything. Stupid mistake I just never knew I should have. My hair was a few inches below my shoulders when I had it cut. Now my hair is extremely short - when down only to my shoulders. Ive stopped straightening my hair and am currently using a product called mixed chicks but I've been using it for over three months and haven't seen much growth. Any suggestions on what product to use to help it grow back again?
