I was that girl who giggled and learned from the eleven and twelve year olds at my school. They claimed mascara was supposed to be clumpy, always, and that you applied it like eyeliner and eventually it would get on your lashes. They looked garish. I waited until I was fourteen to start playing with it, but when I was sixteen (really closer to seventeen), then I started wearing it to school.
