Im only 20 but I was wondering, should I start using skin firming or age defying products as a precaution maybe? My skin isnt sagging or anything yet, but I was wondering if it would benefit me at all or if I should wait until I am old. Thanks ladies!

There is no single product can achieve that. It's a combination of products which suppress your skin problems & enhance your cell renewal. Products labeled with "age defying" is generally a gimmick, if you: 1. Cleanse gently & thoroughly, 2. Exfoliate your dead cell build up so your skin can actually absorb all the goodies that you pile on, 3. Hydrate lightly in layers, 4. Protect diligently (everyday sunscreen against BOTH UVA & UVB), you skin will be healthy & strong. Good luck!

I'm 25 and I started using an antiaging eye cream and antiwrinkle night cream. Prevention is key. I say get something inexpensive to start with and slowly branch out to using other products like wrinkle filers. Olay and garnier have some nice things to try. I use neutrogena wrinkle repair eye cream and a olay age defying night cream. As we get older, we will need to switch our cleanser to an antiaging one but nothing to worry about now. Hope I helped!

Also sunscreen!! That helps prevent damage, spots, and protects your skin. Spf 30 and up is good.

Thanks ladies! Both of you helped actually. Carmen I noticed you comment on alot of the skincare posts and was hoping you'd comment on mine because youre full of skin info. And Brittany you were also helpful, I was considering starting inexpensive and slow to kinda branch out later. Thanks so much ladies! :)

@allison: so welcome! I am a skincare junkie! For start out affordable: Cetaphil is a all around good, gentle cleanser, for (light weight) moisturizer you really have to try in and see how well your skin absorb, everyone is different, if it sits on top then it's not for you. Sunscreen I like Elta UV clear spf 46, it is highly rated on EWG (bonus!) meaning it's ingredients are clean & not likely to link to cancer. I don't have a affordable chemical exfoliant to recommend, but a good (& pricy) one is better cheap & no effect, I like REN Glycolatic mask, get a sample from sephora! than Good luck!

I agree with the ladies...

Prevention is key. A mild cleanser, sunscreen, eye cream and moisturizer are key. Exfoliate at least once a week and look into the clarsonic (my favorite skincare item).
