I use bases or cream eye shadows to make my makeup more pigmented . Also if you have oily skin appy some milk of magnisa that helps to absord the oils alot!

for someone that's barely getting started with makeup, i would do mascara, a little blush, and maybe some sort of gloss/tinted lip balm. keep it simple and easy for yourself.

BB cream (you can find a cheaper, still great, spin off at drugstores), mascara, some concealer for under your eyes, and some liner, try a black pencil liner :) Maybelline also has a little 3 shadow pack called 'Almond naturals' that is all with light browns, hard to mess up with, and generally a very good choice for a beginner :) have fun getting into makeup! :) my personal essential is my blackest black liquid liner, but that might be advanced yet? XD it can. Be hard to control, but with practice it gets very easy :)

For me personally, my essentials are lip balm and mascara. But i also find lip gloss, eye liner, eye shadow, concealer and some sort of face makeup with atleast some coverage (bb cream or foundation) just as important. Since your just starting maybe start off with tinted lip balm, bb cream, light blush, and a simple eye shadow palette(:

My essentials are basically everything for a full face lol. Foundation, concealer, setting powder, eyeshadow, mascara, liner every other day. But I guess if I had to pick my favorites I'd just do eyeshadow with mascara and concealer. And my skincare products like maracuja oil and purity made simple cleanser are also essential.

BB cream, I do my brows (makes such a huge difference!), concealer, mascara, lip balm. If I have a little bit of extra time I'll line my eyes, do a little highlighting and shadow my crease. I very, very rarely do a full face with foundation/blush/contour/lipstick etc.

I would say a good primer (if you have a good primer you can make any eyeshadows work) also brushes Elf has cheap ones. Drugstores really have everything you need its just the quality. Revlon color stay foundation is amazing & i love loreals voluminous mascara.

What's more important than finding essentials is finding the right essentials! If you're just going for powder and concealer and you end up purchasing a sticky concealer in the wrong color and a powder to which your skin has a bad reaction, you're just going to get frustrated. Make sure you know your skin type before you make any purchases. Watch tutorials on how to apply products correctly, or speak with a professional at a makeup counter. In my opinion, concealer can be especiy tricky for a novice, and unless you have major blemishes, I would skip it altogether for now. If you do have major blemishes, I would study up on the application process because a poor application job can make them look worse, especially as the day goes on. Another essential: natural light! What you look like in your bathroom and what you look like outside can be like night and day, so try taking a compact mirror outside and check out how your makeup really looks...it can be an interesting learning experience!

It depends on the person and what they find to be essential for them, for a started many people just start out with masscara, but for me personally my essential is a full face, foundation, concealer, powder..... the list is endless but a few products ive completely learned to love are the dior make up palet with the 5 colors and the dior skinflash which works as a highlighter/ concealer and has a truly glowing finish, but like i said it depends on the person what theyre looking for and what the like and see as essentials, those are some of my essentials tho...
