Looking for foundation/concealer/etc. that's not too heavy and won't look horrible after a good sweat. Any suggestions?

I do not know of any foundation but you can use a primer and a setting spray to keep your current foundation on. I suggest smashbox primer, as well as urban decay setting spray

I would try a tinted moisturizer. You dont want too much on your face when exercising. Your skin needs to breath, it can cause breakouts

I use MUFE primer and UD All-nighter setting spray, but they're too heavy for a work-out, IMO. Plus my current foundation is full coverage and I feel real silly going there with my usual full face of makeup, but I can't not wear makeup!

Try something really light like macs or mufe f&b, theyre both waterbased and waterproof. Just spot conceal a little mascara should make you look awake and not completely unfortunate looking. Lol

Try a bb cream, its lighter but gives good coverage and applies like a lotion

I wouldnt wear any, my friends and ex would make fun of girls wearing makeup to the gym. Its pointless, youre there to work out not look pretty.

I agree with Vanessa. You're there to workout, not look pretty. Plus you're bound to sweat anything off no matter what you use. It'll be a waste of time.

You don't want to go with anything but skincare products on you face cause makeup will clog up your pores and could cause a breakout. Plus, you'll look silly. If you must, maybe a BBC cream or tinted moisturizer would be fine but working out is for working out, not for wearing makeup. :) I'm sure you will Look just fine without it.

Go without it. Why waste good money only to sweat it off in the gym. Just inviting congested pores and funny looks from people.

I don't see why anyone else should care if you wear make up or not lol. It's not bothering you so why should it bother them? I know what it's like to feel like you don't want to go out without make up, I suffer from acne so I'm the same. I don't want anyone to see the marks on my face. Once or twice I actually went to the gym in full make up lol. It was funny. I was with my friend and we just laughed a bit about it and then got on with it. I used my university's gym and would go after my lectures or sometimes after I had been in town and I had make up on anyway. Most of the time though I would just use my hands and put a really light layer of foundation on just even out my skin a bit. Or you could use a bb cream or tinted moisturiser.

hun I dnt wear makeup to the gym cause when you sweat your pores open up and if you have makeup on the makeup will get into your pores cause pimples

Thanks to those of you who left their judgements aside and contributed something positive to the conversation. Very much appreciated, ladies!

Doing some research I found a brand called Rea Cosmetics. It's heat and perspiration resistant so I'm most likely going to try that. A snippet from their website: "Rae is a fresh and versatile cosmetics line ideal for everyday performance during exercise, travel or for those that simply lead a busy lifestyle. Rae has quickly become a favorite line amongst active women and athletes looking for performance as well as beauty from their cosmetics."

**Edit: I read that Rea Cosmetics contain Parabens, which can be harmful. I contacted them to find out if that is true or not. (I'll post back when I get a response.)

I don't get what the problem is with wearin makeup to workout. I already have a full face of makeup on from school so I don't bother to take it off just workout. I doubt girls would look silly if they know how much makeup is enough

All negatives about wearing makeup at the gym aside. I think the best setting product out there for keeping your makeup in place is the original setting spray, Model in a Bottle. I've used this and the Urban Decay setting spray, and while UD goes on lighter, smells nicer, and does work, MIAB still does a better job keeping your makeup in place no matter what. It's heavy duty. It goes on a little sticky at first and you feel a bit like you're shellacking your face, but after a while you don't notice it. It's not for everyone, but hey, if you're running a marathon and you don't want your makeup to budge, there ya go. Lol.

Also... Consider ordering some Final Seal by Ben Nye. It smells like mouthwash and feels a little stuff at first, but it literally waterproof seals the makeup. A little birdie once told me that Cirque du Soleil uses it for underwater scenes in their shows.

For anyone who was wondering, I emailed Rae Cosmetics 2 days ago asking if their products are Paraben-free and haven't gotten a response back. I will not be using Rae Cosmetics because I think their lack of response is answer enough.

Shiseido has an amazing foundation in their suncare line that is extremely water resistant. It is amazing.

I must have not read the place where you asked "Do you think I should wear makeup on my face when I work out?"

I don't wear makeup when I work out, but when I was 18 I worked for at Kroger and volunteered to work out in our Garden Center. Humidity and heat were at a high point and I ended up finding Mehron's Barrier Spray. It can be used as a setting spray, a barrier to protect your skin from makeup with irritating ingredients, or to prevent sweat from ruining your makeup. It worked really well for keeping the majority of my makeup on my face, and I would just have to blot a few times, and touch up with powder mid-day.

I use MUFE Face and Body, and while it is water resistant and sweat resistant to a degree, I can assure you that it will not stand up during an intense cardio workout, especially if you have to wipe off sweat every now and then with a towel.

To anyone who was looking for an update about Rhea Cosmetics. They finally emailed me back and said:

"We have a few products that do contain parabens, but they are naturally derived from blueberries and non-carcinogenic. All of our products are noncomedogenic, antibacterial and hypoallergenic."
