Maybe. I would try out getting some face-framing balayage highlights around the front with a nice strawberry or honey blonde. If you like the look, you can extend it to an ombre.
The best one I've seen went from a warm brown to a kind of amber color...you may actually be better off dying the top darker and using your natural hair as the ombre highlight. Just a thought...
