the main thing that worked for me was weighing my food and making sure i followed the right portions for serving sizes, as well as keeping a food journal, this way you can actually see what you're eating, and taking in,etc. You can also see and track how certain foods make you feel, and what the cause of some of your "bloat" or anything like that can be caused by and helpful in helping you avoid certain foods. Also walking was a big help for me, walking at LEAST a mile a day in the morning or at night, whenever the weather was most comfortable for the season worked best for me. I also bought a rebounder which helped because you can jog in place and things on it and its low impact so you shouldn't have any real issues as far as your joints and things go, so you can keep your heart rate up without it making it difficult to recover from if you're not used to lets say running.

Do not diet. You will be SO tempted to break it it's not even worth it. Do some easy, small changes like not drinking soda and juice, only water and try not to eat junk food. Just try not to be stressed out about eating healthy. The small changes are the easiest to maintain and seriously, only drinking water makes the biggest difference! Good luck :) You can do it!!!

Look into the 8 hour diet. It's not what it sounds like. Just bought the book last week and already lost 5 pounds! 8 hour diet written by David Zinczenko

Hey I've been sick in the past and been on steroids. I am only 5'2 and was at 166 my heaviest weight ever so I basically let my body go. I decided to take action and joined weight watchers. It helped me a ton and control what I ate and how much I ate. There is a subscription you can download via web and if you have a smart phone download the app for daily on the go record. It's a lot to prepare before hand but once you get it down to a routine it's easy. Also my latest workout is Zumba, obsessed with it and if you don't have the time to go to a class there are plenty of DVDs you can purchase for at home workouts. It's fun and doesn't feel like a work. Stay strong and focused you will eventually meet your goal!

I too, dislike diets. But I hope you and others will find this advice helpful.
Raspberry Ketones. Zumba. I LOVE Zumba. You will sweat it off and develop some curves while having fun! Always best to include a friend. Go shopping for some athletic gear. You can reward yourself for getting healthy, by shopping for some cute & trendy clothes! I'm all about the..."look the part to play the part," kind of thing. haha
Also, whenever you find yourself craving something, snack on some fruit. Pick out something exotic to your tastes so your palette remains refreshed. If you don't like high maintenance fruit, use a blender and make smoothies! Get creative. Some favorites of mine are: mangoes, raspberries, avocados (I like to eat them with condensed milk =P), lychee, longan, & mangosteen. Do some research on the health benefits and how to determine it's ripeness.
Smaller portions+more frequent meals. And above all STAY POSITIVE! Best of luck to you, xxoo.

Okay, ignore what everyone else has said. All you have to do is burn more calories than you take in. That's it, its that simple. Vary the types of exercises you do and the foods you eat so your body doesn't get too much of one thing. Drink lots of water and green tea is a great metabolism booster. As far as motivation goes? Buy yourself a really cute outfit in a size(s) you would love to wear it in, and keep it in view somewhere so you always have that little voice in your head reminding you of the goal.
