Straightened Hair Problems

I straightened my hair everyday but I kinda stopped for a while because it was getting frizzy and gross looking.. Whenever I straighten it now I use heat protectant but that doesn't always help... Any tips?!

Cut it? I have same polroblem and have become obsessed with keeping hair healthy now. I should cut it but it would be so short. :/
