what does contouring mean?

It depends on if you want more of a dramatic contour or a natural contour.
If you are looking for a natural contour try using a powder foundation (that suits your skin well) that is 3-4 shaded darker than your skin tone.
If you want the more defined look i highly recommend the tarte amazonian clay bronzer in park avenue princess. Stays on all day, and very blendable! Definitely worth the splurge.

I want it too look natural, i don't suit too much makeup. I can't ever find a shade thats totally matter either but thanks for the suggestion of a powder foundation! X

For reference I am an NC40 and I use Cover Girls Clean powder foundation in soft honey. I use to use really dark dark powders but it looked muddy, so staying within your colour range is a great way of getting a natural contour!
