Hi kids
I am currently sporting a honey blonde / light brown dip dye do, but was hoping to fulfill an ambition and go red at the end of the month (when the monies are available!). It would be more of a deep Auburn, kind of Karen Gillan-esque. Are there any tips I need to bear in mind when attempting to do this myself at home? I have been dying my hair for over a decade but only ever shades of blonde and brown...
Thank you all so much!

Red gets on eeeeverything in the bathroom so make sure u have some bleach or vim to clean up after or your grout will be pink! Also keep in mind that red fades faster than any other colour. I once had cherry red hair and after a night of snuggling my bf texted me saying the water was pink when he washed his hands haha. I think there are some red hair preserving shampoos that are worth investing in. Light auburn probably doesn't apply to my advice but if u decide to go wilder, now u have it.
