My hair is naturally curly and I have super thick hair and ends. Someone recommended getting my hair thinned. Is that different than layers? I already have layers and it doesn't help. What does thinning your hair do and how do they do it?? If you have had it done would you recommend it? Thanks:)

I used to thin my hair everytime I would go in for a cut. It takes off the weigh in your hair, not layers. I used to have very thick hair too. they usually do it with scissors but they can also do it with razor.

Would it make my ends less thick? Or look less thick?

I used to thin my hair. However I noticed it added a lot of frizz. They have special scissors that dont cut blunt. And they cut sections at an angle with those scissors then sometimes go in with a razor to blend it out. And just a heads up they should not thin out your hair any higher than your ears. Otherwise you're going to have a lot of itty bitty little hairs sticking up on top of your head. Sooooooo if you really wanna try it out make sure you go somewhere with experience. ;-) hope this helped at all.

thick is beautiful, now you don't want to be too thick towards the roots, coz then your hair looks like a flat wall, ask your stylist to thin your hair at The bottom. layers won't always help and might make your hair look poofier than it is. but thinning out the bottom might really help, give it a try. hair will always grow back :)
