Straightened Hair-Thick Ends!

My hair is naturally curly and SUPER incredibly thick. I straighten it half the time, and when I do, looking sideways, the end of my hair flips out because I have really thick ends. Its not that I'm straigtening it out like that, its just that my ends are thick. Any suggestions to get my ends thinner?

When you get a hair cut, you can ask to get your ends thinned out and they will do it for you. Also, when straightening, you could try pulling the straightening iron slower at the ends to apply more heat
