I usually wash it once per week, and use washing cream to wash it.

After every two days. It's important to wash your brushes often. The old make-up that stays on will get bacteria you won't like after the next time you apply. Dish soap is GREAT! It deep cleans the full brush;)

I clean my brushes very frequently, but I don't use harsh detergents because I want my brushes to last. I wet the bristles, then pump some Cetaphil (the clear lathering version) or some Sonia Kashuk brush cleaner into my palm. Then I swirl the bristles around, back and forth, very gently. Then I rinse a few times, then gently blot dry with a paper towel, taking care not to get the ferrules wet during the process (water between the handle and ferrule makes the wood rot). Then, I lay them flat to dry (drying then while vertical will again lead to rot). I wash my hair 3-4 times a week, so I've gotten in the habit of just washing them all when I get out of the shower. I use a Beauty Blender, as well, but I wash it every single day.
