I, myself, have a huge issue with razor burn. I tried all the tips and tricks but somehow these buggers like to pop up and irritate me. What are some step by steps tips, prep-shave-aftercare that can help reduce these bad boys for at least 2 days after you've shaved?

Hey Jessica! I have really sensitive skin too, and I can almost always count on razor burn if I am not careful, it almost makes you wish you just left the stubble there! lol.
I always make sure if it's my body, that I exfoliate well with a loofah before I shave. I then use a moisture shave cream from a company called Kiss My Face. Make sure whatever you use is fragrance free, because a lot of the time, it's the fragrances in products that make your skin become irritated. After I get out of the shower I immediately apply cold Aloe Vera gel. These products together keep my skin pretty moisturized, but if I feel I want more I will just apply any fragrance free, water based moisturizer.
Hope that helped! I linked the things I used in case you wanted to know.

Exfoliate before shaving, have with the grain of the hair, and instead of lotioning the area afterwards apply vitamin e oil. It will soothe the skin, help prevent bumps, and reduce the appearance of any older bumps/nicks you already had!
