I highly recommend figuring out if Benyzol or Salitic Acid based products work better and go from there. If over the counter isn't working then go to a dermatologist.

Hiya I find the best way to prevent acne is to have a skin routine cleanse, tone and moisturize twice a day. Also washing makeup brushes helps a lot. If ever I get a spot before I go out I always grab an ice cube and hold it on my spot for a few seconds it helps reduce the redness. Hope its helped :)
