I like to wear gold eyeshadow with red lipstick, one if my friends hates, the look she said I look like a clown. Does gold or any color eyeshadow goes good with red lipstick ?

The general line of advice is to keep your eyes bold if your lips are neutral and if your lips are bold keep your eyes neutral. Rules can be broken, but overall, think of your face as an art composition. It's best to keep the focus in one place rather than all over the board.

I think with your skin tones you would look great with a 'red' lip & gold eye. As long as the gold isnt going all the way up to your eye brows! =] Keep it on the lid & crease it with a darker color & you will look like a million bucks!

The general "rule" is suppose to be either make your eyes or lips bold & the other neutral. But who cares. Like Jaclynn said, as long as the gold eyeshadow isn't all the way up to your eyebrows do it! Who cares what other people say when it comes to YOUR face. If YOU like it, that's all that matters.

My ballet teacher, who also has your complexion, used to do that all the time and looked GREAT. Not too loud of a red though, like maybe a velety red? I say go for it, besides, don't clowns have white faces and blue eye make up? :P
